GASTON - Roberta June Anderson, 80, of Gaston, died early Saturday morning at Morrison Woods.
She was born January 20th, 1933 in Gaston, and was the daughter of the late Robert Earl & Laveda Faye (Cheesman) Brown.
Roberta retired from Ball State University as a secretary in the Admission's and Dean's office. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and playing cards. Roberta loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Roberta is survived by her two children; daughter, Becky Springer of Dunkirk; and son, Phil Anderson of Memphis, TN; seven grandchildren, Jason Anderson (Shannon) Lakeville, IN, Jeremy Anderson (Stormy) of Royce City, TX, Zach Anderson (Jacki) of South Bend, Samantha Burkett (Ryan) of Memphis, TN, Robert Springer (Brittany) of Dunkirk, Shannon Springer of Dunkirk, and Joey Springer of Dunkirk; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Ann Seppelt of Dayton, OH; two brothers, Raymond Brown of Eaton, and James Brown (Connie) of Knightstown; two brother-in-laws, Donald Wolfgang of Dunkirk, and John Edward Johnson of Gaston; several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lewis E. Anderson in 2008; three sisters, Velma Gale Wolfgang, Carol Johnson, and Marjorie Sue Marshall.
Funeral Services for Roberta will be held Friday, December 13th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Tracy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Family and friends may call Thursday, December 12th, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
