Mrs. Meron Eva Thibedeau, age 87, and a Stone Lake resident for 85 years, passed away at the Hayward Nursing Home Sunday, Sept. 16, 1979. She was born July 12, 1892, in Barron County and came with her family to Stone Lake when a small child.

She was united in marriage to Jule Thibedeau on Oct. 11, 1911, at Hayward. He preceded her in death in Dec. 1969. Mrs. Thibedeau was a member of the Wesleyan Church, Stone Lake.

Surviving is one son, Richard of Fairbanks, Alaska; one daughter, Mrs. Lydia S. DePew of Burbank, CA; 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Margaret Lee of Amery, WI, and Mrs. Harriet Lubben of Stone Lake, WI.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday at 2 from the Koerpel Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ernest Friebel and Rev. Neil Mowat officiating. Interment followed in the family lot in Greenwood Cemetery, Hayward.

Visitation was held at the Koerpel Funeral Home Wednesday 3-6PM.

Serving as pallbearers were Leslie Wakefield, Carl Clark, Donald Clark, Richard Zollver, Robert Simons, and Leslie Shea.
