She was born Jan. 3, 1920, in Belvidere, to Carl and Ann (Jensen) Nordmann. On May 7, 1949, she married Leslie Schwemm at St. John's Lutheran Church in Elgin.
She worked at Elgin National Watch Factory for many years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake.
Survivors include her husband, of Crystal Lake; two sisters, Marion Beu of Algonquin and Helen Jurs of South Elgin; a sister-in-law, Olive Nordmann of Sycamore; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Albert Nordmann.
The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the noon funeral Tuesday, June, 22, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. The Rev. Edward Bergen will officiate.
Interment will be in McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock.
