Funeral services for Mrs. Audra Bass Chappell, 69, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Alton Fleming and Dr. W. M. Causey, Sr. officiating.
Burial followed in Welcome Home Cemetery under the direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home, Columbia.
Mrs. Chappell passed away Thursday, April 17, at Citizens Medical Center after a brief illness.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Louise Ezmack of Alexandria; one son, Mr. R. J. Brown of Wellington, New Zealand; and three grandchildren.

Audra was the daughter of William L. "Sam" Bass and Mary Louise Caswell Bass. She married: (1) Roger James Brown (1907-1993) and (2) Henry M. Chappell (1898-1969). She was the mother of two children from her marriage to R. J. Brown.
