Burial followed in Welcome Home Cemetery under the direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home, Columbia.
Mrs. Chappell passed away Thursday, April 17, at Citizens Medical Center after a brief illness.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Louise Ezmack of Alexandria; one son, Mr. R. J. Brown of Wellington, New Zealand; and three grandchildren.

Audra was the daughter of William L. "Sam" Bass and Mary Louise Caswell Bass. She married: (1) Roger James Brown (1907-1993) and (2) Henry M. Chappell (1898-1969). She was the mother of two children from her marriage to R. J. Brown.
