Gary E. "Bub" Beamer, age 67 of Gettysburg, died Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Gettysburg Hospital. He was born Sunday, January 20, 1946 in Adams County, the son of the late Percy and Bertha I. (Chronister) Beamer.
Gary was formerly employed by R.F. Truesdale in Biglerville for 13 years. He had also worked at C.H. Musselman's and Daily Express. Bub operated a push truck at Lincoln and Trailways speedways. He enjoyed racing and working on cars.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty L. (Keplinger) Beamer. He is also survived by a daughter, Bonnie S. Sier of Biglerville, a son, Troy E. Beamer of Biglerville; three granddaughters: Charity S. Sier, Shelby D. Beamer and Erika L. Sier, all of Biglerville and two sisters: Myrna Breighner of Carlisle and Victoria Baumgardner of Louisville, OH. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise Irene Beamer, sister Sonja Brough and brother, Bernard "Sam" Beamer.
Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Dugan Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Wenksville Cemetery.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of services.
