Services for Mr. Clifford Leroy Tynes, 68, of Pelican Bay, Texas are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 9, 2013 at Lighthouse Harbour Church in Pelican Bay with Pasror Glyn Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery of Wilson, Oklahoma. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Clifford was born March 17, 1945 at Van Nuys, California to Mr. John Clifford Tynes and Mrs. Ruth Lanell Adams. He passed from this life Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth , Texas.

Clifford was raised in the Wilson area attending school at Zanies. He graduated from Zanies in 1964. Clifford moved to Oklahoma City and then to the Ft. Worth area where he was employed by CTV of Grand Prairie, Texas. He married the former Selma Ann Bridges on June 4, 1965 at Wilson, Oklahoma. Clifford joined the National Guard in 1965 and retired after 35 years of service as a mechanic. He has been a resident of Pelican Bay, Texas for the past 6 years moving there from Paradise, Texas. Clifford served as councilman and the current Mayor which he held office for the past 2 years. Selma preceded him in death on February 15, 2013. He always enjoyed politics and loved guns. Clifford was a very active member of the Lighthouse Harbour Church of Pelican Bay ,Texas.

Survivors include his two daughters, Kimberly Ann Stephenson and husband Nick of Pelican Bay, Texas and Barbara Terguson and husband Roger of Weatherford, Texas; Grandchildren Eric, Danny and wife Kelsey, Kevin; Great Grandson Ayden and a Great Grand Daughter on the way, Anna Lyn; Sister, Virginia Maness of Eldorado, Texas; Brothers, James Earl Tynes and wife Sandy of Oklahoma City, OK., Bo Tynes and wife Jennifer of Zanies, OK., Buddy Tynes of Madill, Ok.; Numerous Family and Friends.

Pallbearers are the Pelican Bay Police Department and the Pelican Bay Fire Department.
