A graveside services was held Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Mountlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Gary Cline and Chaplain Steve Butler officiating.
Ms. Adams was born August 22, 1932 in Wilkes County to Joseph W. and Ruth B. Hayes Adams. Before retiring, she worked for K-Mart. Ms. Adams was a member of Fairplains Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lorene A. Shumate, Fern A. Foster; five brothers, Howard Adams, Hayes Adams, Joe Clayton Adams, Roy C. Adams and Virgil L. Adams.
She is survived by: one sister, Teddie Sue Lewis and husband, Donald Lewis of Morganton
