She was born Oct. 29, 1920 in Champaign Co., Illinois, a daughter of Samuel T. and Laura E. Pennington Adkins. She married James A. Mabry on March 27, 1940 in Paxton. He died October 14, 1987. She was also preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are four daughters, Rebecca Yvonne Mabry, Nancy (Tom) Dueringer, Emily (Terry) Goodapple and Christine (Clyde) Vincent; a son, James (Donna) Mabry Jr.; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and a sister, Josephine Skonberg.
She worked with her husband on the family farm near Sibley. She was the assistant cook at the nursing home in Piper City.
