WILLIAM C. WOLFINGER, well-known retired railroad clerk and farmer, died suddenly of a heart attack this morning at his farm home along the Marsh Pike. He was 49 years old on May 1. A son of Scott M. and Mary Spielman Wolfinger, Mrs. Wolfinger for years was a yard clerk with the Western Maryland Railroad. In later years he farmed his father's farm along the Marsh Pike and following his father's death he disposed of the stock and equipment and retired but continued to live on the farm.

A staunch Republican like his father before him, Mr. Wolfinger was active from boyhood in party politics and was a candidate for the Republican nomination for sheriff at the last primary. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of American Legion and of the B.P.O.E.

Surviving him are his widow, Margaret Newcomer Wolfinger, and brother, Richard G. Wolfinger, Camp Hill, Pa.

Services were held at the Suter Funeral Home; burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
