Published in The Paducah Sun, Paducah, McCracken Co., Ky., 30 May 2004 - Charles Edward Carrigan, 81, of Lone Oak died Saturday at Western Baptist Hospital. Burial will be in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Folsomdale.

He retired as a maintenance supervisor for Union Carbide after 30 years of service. Mr. Carrigan was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a combat engineer, and was awarded four bronze stars. He was a 56-year member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church, as well as a member of Folsomdale Masonic Lodge No. 283, the Rizpah Shrine Temple and the Rizpah Oriental Band.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Linda Baldree Carrigan; a son, Charles Steven Carrigan; a sister, Mary Lou Boswell; two nieces; one aunt; and several cousins.

His parents were Aaron "Buddy" Carrigan and Sadie Marshall Carrigan.
