On Tuesday, December 3, 2013, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and beloved friend returned home to her Heavenly Father. She was lovingly reunited with her parents, many siblings, her son, and several grandchildren.

Colleen was born September 30, 1927 in Kenilworth, Utah to William Reese Thomas and Millissa (Wilson) Thomas.

Colleen was sealed in the LDS Temple to her best friend and the love of her life, Irvin Alan Pearson, on February 3, 1964. Colleen and Alan were very blessed with a large blended family. Colleen was blessed with the calling of being a mother to many. She was a mother, step-mother, and foster mother to fourteen children. She was a grandmother to forty-three, great-grandmother to thirty-seven, and great-great-grandmother to thirteen. Colleen is one of twelve children and survived by her sisters, Norma Walters and Jane Warner.

Colleen loved her family and enjoyed doing genealogy. She would spend many hours sharing photos and her vast knowledge of her families' history, with her family and friends.

Colleen also enjoyed spending time in the Lord's house doing his temple work with her eternal companion and fulfilling the many callings that were asked of her. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to see the beauty around her and to enjoy the company of her family and friends.

She cherished her many years of work with the Boy Scouts. She helped to teach many young men the values and responsibility that comes with the scouting program. Our wife, mother, grandmother, and sister will always be remembered for her stories, her strength, her courage, fun-loving nature, and for her beautiful smile.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the L.D.S. Chapel located at 12210 South 2700 West in Riverton, Utah. Guests may come and visit with the family and share memories one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be at a later date at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
