On January 30, 1854, J.L. Austin was appointed in Van Zandt County Court as the Administrator of the Estate of Alexander W. White. He and several other men put up a $2,000 bond.
None of court records gives a death date on Alexander.
J.L. Austin, the Estate Administrator, asked to be discharged as the administrator on Dec. 5, 1860. It had been almost seven years, so the business of the Estate was probably finished.

Note: From the records, (debts owed for merchandise) it seems that Alexander owned a merchantile store in Canton. There was a White's Merchantile store in Canton for many years after Alexander's death.
