Ada Madeline Adams
Ada Madeline Adams, age 93, 207 Willow Street in Weston, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at her residence, following a brief illness.
She was born in Gilmer County on Oct. 15, 1920: daughter of the late Charles S. Adams and Ada (Brannon) Adams.
Mrs. Adams is survived by several nieces and nephews including, Sue Hinter. In addition to her parents and husband, Earl Knopp, Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Woodrow Adams; and four sisters, Bertha L. Byrd, Carrie Adams Powell, Ida Belle Ware and Mary Burton.
Mrs. Adams was the head accountant for B.F. Goodrich Company of Akron, Ohio. She worked for the company for 42-years. She was a graduate of Gilmer County High School.
Family and friends were received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue in Weston on Saturday, Nov. 30, from 12 noon until 1 p.m.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 1 p.m., from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel, with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Interment will follow services in the Troy IOOF Cemetery of Troy.
