Mr. Hastey was born September 23, 1921, in Warm Springs, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Brooks Hastey. He was retired as a maintenance technician for the U.S. government and was a member of Perrine Peters Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly; a son, William H. Quig of San Antonio; three stepsons, Doulas Conklin, Brent Lunsford and Jimmy Lunsford, all of Miami; a daughter, Jeanne Burton of San Antonio; and 12 grandchildren.
