Noel L. "Shorty" Aemisegger, 80, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, formerly of Elk City, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 4, 2013 at the First Christian Church in Elk City with Tony Fowler officiating, burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Elk City. Military Funeral Honors will be provided by the United States Air Force Funeral Honors Team from McConnnell Air Force Base, with Masonic Services to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to Carson Lodge #132 and may be left with the funeral home. Friends may register from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, at Webb & Rodrick Chapel and Crematory with the family receiving friends at that time. Shorty was born November 28, 1932 in Elk City, KS to Fred and Roberta (Newkirk) Aemisegger, he attended Elk City schools and graduated from Elk City High School. Following school he joined the United States Air Force and served for 4 years, following his discharge from the Air Force he married Sandra M. Morse on March 16, 1957 and the couple made their home in Elk City. Shorty was employed by Montgomery County as a Master Electrician until he retired. Shorty was a 56 year member of the First Christian Church in Elk City and also served as a church elder. He also was a 47 year member of Carson Lodge, where he served as a past Master of the Lodge. He was also active in the Old Settlers Days with the pie auction and cooking beans for the bean feed. Shorty will also be remembered as a Master Horse Shoe Pitcher. Shorty was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Arlan and Darvin Aemisegger. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Sandy of the home, a son Kirk Aemisegger, Independence, KS; a daughter Treva Morse, Bartlesville, OK, one brother, Olen Aemisegger, Sapulpa, OK, two sisters, Barbara Whistler, CA Treva Horst, Topeka, KS, five grandchildren, Corrine ( Brad) Bryant, Bartlesville, OK, Nick Morse, Independence, KS, Scott Aemisegger, Independence, KS, Adam Aemisegger, Independence, KS, four great grandchildren, Rxea, Gage, Adison, Logan, a niece Joycelind ( Andy) Wilson, Neosho, MO, and nephew, Dorman (Darlene) Morse, Elk City, KS. Arrangements entrusted to Webb & Rodrick Chapel and Crematory.
