Xantippa was the wife of William A. Bowman. I have found her given name spelled in various ways. I'm not sure which spelling is correct. She died from heart failure.

OBIT:

Mrs. Xantippe Ellen Bowman, 77, prominent pioneer of this county, died yesterday at 1 p.m. in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Abe Molstrom, following a year's illness.

She was born in Polk County, June 21, 1863, and was the daughter of William and Amy E. Lee, who crossed the plains from Iowa in 1862 by covered wagon.

She was married to William Asberry Bowman in 1879. He survives as do two daughters, Mrs. Molstrom and Mrs. Christy; a sister, Mrs. Josephine McLaughlin of Seattle; and four granddaughters, Miss Daphne Molstrom, Miss Evelyn Christy, Frank Molstrom of Pendleton, Ray Dunn of Sandpoint, Idaho and one great grandchild, Buddy Dunn of Sandpoint.
