Born Alexina Simpson Forde. Placed into the Liverpool Sheltering Home and sent to Knowlton Quebec. Her Father died 16 Mar 1875. Her Mother could not support the children due to an accident with a hackney which limited her ability to work as a MantleMaker. Alexina Sailed on the Sardinian on 19 Apr 1877 and arrived at Quebec City on 30 Apr 1877 with her Brother Robert and Alban. She was taken in and adopted by the Carswell family.
