Mr. Reuben Rathmal Sale, age 90, of Pumpkin Run Road, Purlear died Monday, March 24 at the home of his son.
Mr. Sale was born August 23, 1912 in Caldwell County to Cornelius C. "C.C." and Ada Kirby Sale.
Surviving are one son, Lee Sale of North Wilkesboro; one daughter, Glenda Jardel of Lancaster, Pa.; one brother, Robert Byrd of West Virginia; two sisters, Quelle Eckhardt of Beaver Falls, Pa., Anna Ruth Bishop of Jeffersontown, Ky.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held this morning, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 26 at Mountlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Paul Hugger officiating.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wilkes, 1907 West Park Drive, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
