==============
On last Sunday afternoon all that was mortal of Comrade J.B. Leonard, late of the 101st Ohio Vols., was laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery by his comrades of Howe Post, G.A.R.of Britt. The funeral services at the Congregational church were largely attended, and were held by Re. Stewart assisted by Rev. McClintock. The G.A.R ritual burial services held at the cemetery were both beautiful and impressive. The ladies of the W.R.C. And the Sons of Veterans also participated, the latter making a very creditable appearance in their neat uniform. Large delegations from Corwith and Garner were also in attendance and assisted the comrades of Howe Post. Comrade Leonard was a native of Ohio, and at the time of his death was 53 years of age. He served two years and ten months in the service of his country and was honorably discharged at the close of the war. Thus one by one the old boys are being called to join their comrades gone before...(Mr. Leonard a Civil War Veteran)..
