Etta "Louise" Burt, 77, went to be with the Lord on December 1, 2013. She was born to the late J.B. and Ruby Adams, September 11, 1936. She married the late Kenneth Burt on December 22, 1954, in Knox City, Texas.
She was an active member of the Knox City Foursquare Church, where she had been a member since her teenage years. Her relationship with God was the most important thing in her life, and she has left a beautiful heritage for her children and grandchildren.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Kenneth Burt, her mother Ruby Collins, and fathers J.B. Adams and Claude Collins, three sisters, Betty Runnels, Diane Johnson, and Janis Clark, one brother Jerry Johnson, and a grandson, Josh Burt.
Louise is survived by her four children, Debbie Merrill and husband Tom Merrill of AR, Kenneth Burt of Knox City, TX; Marylon Stewart of Nashville, TN; and Melinda Casey of Haskell, TX. She is also survived by four sisters, two brothers, twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and numerous family members and friends.
A visitation will be on Wednesday, December 4th, 2013 at the Foursquare Church in Knox City, TX from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Knox City Cemetery.
