DEATHS AND FUNERALS
G.A. Smith
G.A. Smith, 64, died Sunday, December 13, 1931, in Stillwater, Ok., 1306 Duck street, at the home of his daughter.
Funeral services were held at the Strode Funeral home Monday, burial being in Fairlawn cemetery at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. Charles Stout of the Pentecostal church officiated.
G.A. Smith was born in Cole county, Illinois, November 11, 1867. He was married to Miss Abbie Hadley in Douglas, Kan. in 1889 and came directly to Oklahoma where he participated in the opening, living in Payne county until his death. Mrs. Smith preceded him in death in 1923.
The decedent was the father of twelve children, nine of whom are living. They are Perry, Mrs. Polly Thomas, Mrs. Sarah Bloom, Vernie, Clarence, Cleena, Mrs. Nellie McCurry, Mrs. Ethel Lane, Mrs. Abbie Berry, all of whom live in or near Stillwater.
Two brothers, Joseph and John, survive also, both living in Stillwater.
