CHESTER REID
Chester A. Reid of Tigard, a retired truck driver, died of causes related to age Tuesday in his home. At his request, no service will be held. Mr. Reid was 85.
He was born Nov. 10, 1906, in Estacada, where he was raised and educated. He lived in the Oak Grove area for about 20 years before moving to Tigard in 1964. Mr. Reid worked for the Santry Commercial Hauling Co. for 25 years until his retirement in 1971.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Nellie; daughter, Barbara Poirer of Portland; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Private entombment will be in Sunset Hills Memorial Park.
