On 8 Aug 1894, she married John Cahoy in Lynch, Boyd County, Nebraska. John and Josie had seven children: John A., Jr. (b. 30 May 1896, d. 30 Oct 1962); Pauline S. (b. 28 Nov 1897, d. Mar 1986); Tillie (b. 1899, d. 1899) - died as infant; Rudolph (b. 17 Apr 1901); Henry F. (b. 2 Apr 1903, d. Jan 1987); Anna (b. 14 Mar 1905, d. 5 Jan 1991); and Josephine M. (b. 2 May 1911, d. 11 Oct 1974).
