Harry Lodor, past 70, died about midnight last night when he shot himself at his place of business. He was in partnership with Fred Schiedeberg in the soft drink business. "Mr. Loder was a member of a family with a distinguished military career. He was born at the West Point military academy, where his father, a major general, was an instructor." He was survived by his wife. They had no children. Mrs. Lodor's brother Frank Hirsch lives at Omaha. The funeral will be Monday with burial in Prospect Hill cemetery. Harry Lodor was born Nov. 21, 1859 at Old Point Comfort, Virginia. He died Thursday night at Norfolk. At the age of 2 he moved with his parents to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He was married on June 14, 1876 at Elliott City, Maryland. He was married on September 21, 1891 to Emma Hirsch Rice at Omaha. In 1897 they came to Norfolk. He was owner of the billard parlor at 410 Norfolk Ave. at the time of his death. He was survived by his wife, 1 sister in the state of New York, 3 brother-in-laws: Will Hirsch at Norfolk, Frank Hirsch at Omaha, Lew Hirsch at San Francisco, California and their familes. "Burial was made Prospect Hill cemetery."
