Obituary for Roger Byerley

Roger Lee Byerley, age 63 of Kincaid, Kansas died, Saturday November 30, 2013 at Windsor Place at Iola, Kansas. He was born on October 13, 1950 at Garnett, Kansas the son of Warren and Helen Kraft Byerley. Roger was a 1968 graduate of Blue Mound High School. Roger Married Judy Wier on March 17, 1973 they later divorced, to this union four children were born. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad doing Track Maintenance, was a member of the Teamsters Union, Masonic Lodge and the Union Pacific Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way, and loved old cars, old tractors and motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his parents Warren and Helen Byerley, a son Adam Byerley, a brother Orlan Byerley, and two sisters; Darlene Byerley and Joyce Weide. He is Survived by two sons: Jeff and Matt Byerley, a daughter Brandy Picek and husband Rick, two sisters: Sharon Walters and Shirley Sawyer, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday December 4th, 2013 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory Mound City Chapel. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday December 3th at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Goodrich Cemetery near Parker, Kansas. The family suggests contributions to the Prairie Education Fund or Linn County Sharing Bucket and may be left in C/O the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory P.O. box J Mound City, Kansas 66056.
