Mrs. Margaret E. "Peggy" Doerter, 73, of 1605 Everett Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on Friday at Bethany Medical Center. Mrs. Doerter was a lifelong Kansas City resident. She was employed by City Bond and Mortgage Company before she retired in 1975. She was a member of St. Peter's Cathedral and its Altar Society. Mrs. Doerter was survived by three brothers, Dr. Thomas J. Guilfoil of Seattle, William J. Guilfoil Jr. of Kansas City, Kansas, and Dr. Joseph E. Guilfoil of Kansas City, Kansas.
Friends called on Monday evening at the Gibson-Butler Funeral Home, where the Rosary was recited later that night. Services were held on Tuesday morning at the Gibson-Butler Chapel and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Cathedral. Burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. The family suggested memorial contributions to Cancer Action Inc. or to Ward High School.
