CROWDER, Robert Sterling, 74, of South Hill, died November 26, 2013, at his residence. He was an Eagle Scout, former South Hill Scout Master, active in his church, and a trustee of Canaan Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn R. Crowder; two sons, Robert M. Crowder and wife, Kellie, of Greenville, S.C., Michael W. Crowder and wife, Debbie, of Oxford, Ohio; sister Maxine C. Crowder of South Hill; and five grandchildren, Joshua, Brooke, Jessica, Sterling and Benjamin Crowder. A visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday (today) at Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment Canaan Cemetery.
