She was born on February 23, 1921 to William Hubert and Elsie (Hinkle) Ringer in Davis, Oklahoma.
Ruby grew up in the Dale and Bethel Acres area. She attended school at Dale and Bethel and was a graduate of Bethel High School.
After 8 years of courtship she married Olen E. Marlow on October 1, 1955 in Purcell, Oklahoma and preceded her in death on April 1, 1998. After her marriage to Olen they moved to the Marlow family farm in the Bethel Acres area where her husband and his parents had lived since 1923 and where she has resided since 1955.
Ruby was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She worked at Douglas Aircraft during WWII, at Woolworths until the birth of her son and helped on the family farm. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Olen Marlow; siblings, Carl Ringer, Veda Haslip and Bill Ringer.
Ruby is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John Lynn Marlow and Marlene, of Shawnee; granddaughter, Candace McKinney and Michael; 2 grandsons, Jeremy Marlow and Antoinette and Keven Marlow and Stormi; 5 great-grandchildren, Carter McKinney, Hailie McKinney, Brendan Hackensmith, Corbin Marlow and Taylor Marlow; 2 brothers, Darrell Ringer and Don Ringer; sister, Marita Douglas; and numerous nieces, nephew and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from noon to 5 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 30, and 1 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 1.
Service was at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 2, at New Hope Baptist Church with Danny Ringer officiating. Burial followed at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
