GREENSBORO - Mrs. Hazel B. Henderson, 97, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2009, at Blumenthal Jewish Nursing and Rehab Center.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 11, at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Dr. Stephen Rummage and Dr. Stephen Pressley officiating.
Hazel was born April 15, 1912, in Guilford County, N.C., to the late Bessie Regina Heath. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was very devoted to her family.
Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by her husband, T. Glenn Henderson and her brother, Harvey Heath.
She is survived by her son, Aubrey L. Henderson and his wife, Pat, of Greensboro; daughter, Wanda McCormick and her husband, Bill, of Denton; brother, Dale Holder and his wife, Nita, of Greensboro; sister-in-law, Doris Henderson; grandchildren, Melissa Henderson of Greensboro, Michele Rummage and her husband, Dr. Stephen Rummage, of Mint Hill, N.C., Bruce K. Phillips of Liberty and great-grandchildren, Joshua Rummage, Benjamin Phillips, Shannon Phillips and Bailey Phillips.
