Brought Home To Be Buried. – The bodies of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bernsee and children – Bertha, aged 12 years, and Georgie, aged 5 years – were received in this city Monday from Dawson, Yukon Territory, and interred in Riverview Cemetery. The funeral services were conducted from Finley's Chapel and were attended only by the family and a few intimate friends, being private. Mr. and Mrs. Bernsee and family lost their lives in a fire March 4, 1903, which destroyed their home in Dawson, where Mr. Bernsee went from here in 1899 to engage in business. Mr. and Mrs. Bernsee were well known in Portland, having lived here for years. Mrs. Bernsee was a daughter of Mrs. Mary Flynn, a pioneer of this state. Mr. Bersee was a native of Germany.
