Funeral for Virginia Ann Hudson Vinson, 68, of Decatur will be Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Parkview Baptist Church with Dr. Todd Evans officiating and Ridout's Brown Service Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Vinson returned home Monday, Oct. 17, 2005, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Feb. 6, 1937, the daughter of Steamboat Bill Hudson and Jessie Hudson.
She was the beloved wife of Carl W. Vinson; precious mama to Jimmy Vinson, Angela Vinson Parker and Carla Vinson Beardslee; sweet mamaw to Jessica Parker, Rebecca Parker and Mary Grace Vinson; and loving sister to Opal Grace Hudson Cox, Jessie Rose Hudson Edwards, Willis James Hudson and Leonard Hudson,.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Bottom, Billy Vinson, Avery Howard, Steve Adams, Carl Hendrix, Larry Self, Hal Cochran and Richard Bays.
Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Parkview Baptist Church.
