Judith Parker, 71, of Saco Road died Friday morning at Maine Medical Center in Portland after a brief illness.

She was born in Biddeford, the daughter of Artell B. and Geneva Farnsworth Crowley. She attended schools in Gloucester, Mass., and was a graduate of Jonesport (Maine) High School.

For the past several years she owned and operated Hiram's House Bed and Breakfast in Alfred. A talented craftsperson, she enjoyed sewing and knitting with friends. She also enjoyed painting.

Mrs. Parker was a longtime resident of Seagull Street in Rockport, Mass., and was a member of the Rockport Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Phillip S. Parker of Alfred; two sons, Russell Parker of Alfred and Phillip S. Parker II of Gloucester, Mass.; three daughters, Mrs. David (Geneva) Moorhead of Oxford, Pa.,Mrs. William (Nancy) Garlick of Gloucester, Mass., and Mrs. Ronald (Lorrie) Wightman of Rockport, Mass.; three brothers, Artell Crowley of Gloucester, Mass., Coleman Crowley of California and Roger Crowley of Michigan; and 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Alfred Parish Church, with the Rev. Katherine Fisk officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Alfred. Arrangements are by Heald Funeral Home, Springvale.
