Funeral services for John J. Meehan, retired, of 1711 University Ave., who died at 10:55 p.m. Sunday at Ball Hospital after a three weeks' illness, will be conducted at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Reverend Father Edgar J. Cyr officiating. Entombment will be in the Elm Ridge Mausoleum. Friends may call at Meeks Mortuary after 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Mr. Meehan was born in Scotland. He came to Muncie 40 years ago from Pennsylvania and was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Ancient Order of Hibernians and of the Eagles Lodge.

Surviving are the widow, Margaret A.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Harry Scheis of Muncie; a brother, Patrick Meehan of Castassaqua, Pa., and a sister, Mrs. John Werner of Brooklyn, N.Y.
