Mrs. Silvers was born February 23, 1926 in Madison County. She was a member of Jupiter Baptist Church. Mrs. Silvers was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ida Mae Anderson Lunsford; her husband of 50 years, Shelby Silvers; eight brothers and sisters; and a son-in-law, Dennis Franklin.
Surviving are her daughters, Sandy Franklin of Weaverville, Karen Pickens (Tim) of Weaverville and Vicki Hensley (Arthur) of Marshall; three grandchildren, Kyle Hensley (Cherish), Sarah Hensley Stewart (Chris) and Dustin Franklin; two great-grandchildren, Bethany Shea Hensley and Jacob Lee Stewart; special nephew, Ralph Lunsford (Frances); and special friend and roommate, Pat Chandler.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 29, 2013 at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with Kyle Hensley and Wayne Lunsford officiating.
