Mrs. Elinor Tillie Young, 80, mother of District Judge Dallas H. Young died at the home of her son 216(?) East 2nd North Provo, Thursday morning following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at Provo at 12:30 on Sunday.
Mrs. Young was the daughter of Phineas Young and Elinor Maria James Young who came to Salt Lake Valley July 24, 1847 with the first pioneers. Her father was a brother of Brigham Young and followed the occupation of printing in Salt Lake. He was also a mail contractor and saddler.
Mrs. Young was born at Salt Lake Oct. 4, 1858 and was married to Perry LeGrand Young, Feb. 1, 1883.
Mr. and Mrs. Young were early settlers in Ashley Valley. Mr. Young being deputy marshal at Vernal, postmaster for 3 years and a successful farmer, stockraiser.
Besides her son, Dallas, Mrs. Young is survived by Lorenzo Clifford, Myton, Lyle LeGrand of Duchesne, and Brigham Willard of Draper.
