OSWEGO—Nadine Loree Wilson, 82, of Oswego, Kan., died Friday, March 18, 2011, at Deseret Nursing Home and Rehab in Oswego. She was cremated.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be Saturday, May 7, at 3 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Oswego. The family invites friends to come early at 2 p.m. and visit.

Nadine was born March 2, 1929, in Sherman City, Kan., to Adrian and Lenona (Jones) Woods. She attended the Sherman Grade School and West Mineral High School.

She married Homer Walker on July 9, 1944, at Erie, Kan. He passed away May 8, 1987.

She married Jack Wilson on Dec. 11, 1988, at the Sherman Baptist Church. He survives of the home.

Nadine was employed 34 years at Oswego Manor Nursing Home and three years after retiring at Oswego Home Place.

She was a 65 year member of Sheridan Homemaking Club. She went 31 years to Brumley Gospel Sing in Springdale, Ark. Nadine was an active person. She enjoyed traveling and spent 11 winters in Texas after retirement. Nadine was a member of First Baptist Church in Oswego and she also loved the little church at Sherman where she worshiped most of her life.

Other survivors include two daughters, Rebecca Rhoads and husband Milton, Las Vegas, Nev,; and Regina Hubler and husband Wayne, Knoxville, Iowa; son-in-law, John Marietta, Pittsburg, Kan.; step-son, Rick Wilson and wife Melanie, Oswego; step-daughter, Cheryl Donelson and husband Gary, Dennis, Kan.; three brothers, Donald Woods and wife Rose Marie, Cherryvale, Kan.; Floyd Woods and wife Dixie, Pittsburg; and Lloyd Woods and wife Joyce, Port Aransas, Texas; sister, Paula Woods, Pittsburg; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Nadine was preceded in death by a daughter, Roberta Marietta, in 2008, a brother, Joe Woods, in 2002; a three year old sister in 1937; her mother in 1934, her father in 1974, and her stepmother, Margaret Woods, in 2003.

The family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church in Oswego or Sherman Baptist Church.

Murdock Funeral Home of Oswego is in charge of arrangements.
