He was a farmer and loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved to watch the Atlanta Braves and was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Rachel Ballard; his daughter, Vicky Mazalic and her husband, Frank; his grandson, Brandon Lane Mazalic; four sisters, Louise Gilliam, Lex King, Ann Hill and Mable Shipman; and many nieces and nephews.
He was devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, November 29, 2013 at Thos. Shepherd's Church Street Chapel with Dr. R. Larry Appleby and Reverend Bobby Capps officiating. Burial will follow at Bobs Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
