Melva Perkins Brewer, age 96, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2013 at her home in Pinedale, Arizona, surrounded by her family.

She was born on December 14, 1916 in Clay Springs, Arizona to Reuben Josiah Perkins and Zina Kartchner Perkins.

Melva was a professional painter who truly loved the beauty of the out of doors. Her paintings were the love of her life. She was musically talented and often sang with her husband; she had a great love for music.

She is survived by her daughter: Joyce Williams of Clay Springs, Arizona, sons: Wallace R. (Sandra) Brewer of Globe, Arizona, Harold K. Brewer of Pinedale, Arizona and a son-in-law Albert Williams of Clay Springs, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her second daughter: Genene Williams of Clay Springs, Arizona.

She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 24 great-great grandchildren and 3 great-great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Pinedale Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where a viewing will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment will follow at the Pinedale Cemetery. Services were handled thru Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel of Show Low, Arizona.
