Mrs Ila LaVon Nicholls Jones, 61, of 362 Patterson died Tuesday afternoon in St. Benedict's Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs Jones was born Jan. 15, 1908 in Kaysville, a daughter of Thomas S. and Capitola King Nicholls. On Jan. 18, 1927 she was married to Joseph Carbine in Bountiful. They were later divorced. She was married to Frank W. Joesten in 1929 in Salt Lake City. They were divorced. On Aug. 12, 1939 she was married to Dewey Jones in Sacramento, Calif. He died in January 1961. She was a member of the 11th LDS Ward and had lived in Kaysville prior to moving to Ogden years ago. Surviving are two sons: Darrell N. Carbine, Roy; Dale F. Joesten, Hooper; six grandchildren, two brothers, Fred Nicholls, Farmington; Vernon Nicholls, Kaysville. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. in the Myers Mortuary Chapel with Bishop Harry P Nasfell of the 11th Ward officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday prior to services. Burial in the Ogden City Cemetery.
