On November 23, 2013, Linda Lee Crowell passed away in Lubbock, Texas, while seeking medical attention in her battle with cancer, a battle she fought with Grace and Style, as only Linda could do.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls, Texas, for family and close friends Pastor Chad Stubblefield, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. A memorial service will be held for Linda in Austin, Texas, at a later date.
Linda was born May 3, 1948, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She graduated from Wichita Falls High School and attended Midwestern State University. She had been a resident of Austin since 1970. Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a beautiful and positive Christian lady who loved her Bible Study group and Totally Ladies Class at The Church at Canyon Creek. Linda was employed as a Senior Registered Client Service Associate for UBS and previously worked for Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. She was fortunate to have worked directly for Rusty Tally for 32 years.
Linda leaves to celebrate her passing to be with the Lord her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Leslye Fisher, her daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Adam Smith, her brother and sister-in-law, Bill & Karen Lee, her grandchildren, Devin Charles, Jeffrey Dalton, and William Dillon Fisher, and Carter Truman and Brynlee Elizabeth Smith, and her children's father, Robin Fisher. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Frances (Fouts) Lee.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Beth Hellerstadt and the Texas Oncology Staff, Dr. Cobos and staff at University Medical Center Lubbock, Crown Point Health Care Suites and Hospice, and our dear friends for the love and attention shown to Linda during her courageous battle.
