Marguerite I Koikas, 78, 0f 2758 Dennis Road, Ludington, died Sunday evening at Memorial Medical Center, following an extended illness.

Marguerite I Baker was born to Stephen and Cora Maude Hamilton Baker on March 22, 1914 in Middle Point, Ohio, moving to Jackson, Michigan as a child; where she grew up and attended school.

She was married to Robert W Smalley on October 28, 1933 in Steuben, Indiana. They were later divorced and she was married June 14, 1937 in Jackson, to Richard T Rudysill and he preceded her in death in June 1974. She was later married in 1976 in Kentucky to Theodore R. Koikas and he survives. For many years she was a former owner of Point Comfort Resort on Upper Hamlin Lake. She was a member of Ludington Emblem Club #383.

Surving, in addition to her husband, Theodore, she is survived by one son; Dr. Charles T (Ann) Rudysill DC, Cecilia, Kentucky; one step daughter, Mrs Allan (Helen C) Copenhaver, Ludington; one stepson, Theodore P (Robin) Koikas, Jr., Ludington; seven grandchidren; nieces and nephews.

Services for Mrs. Koikas will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Dorrell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Charles Benes of Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.

Friends may begin calling at the funeral home this afternoon where the family will be present from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. today.

Memorials may be directed to the Memorial Medical Center Cancer Fund with envelopes available at the Dorrell Funeral Home.
