Burial was in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock, with full military honors provided by Thadeus H. Caraway VFW Post 2278 Honor Guard.
Born Nov. 24, 1923, in Tama County, Iowa, to Dewey and Emma Soll Goodenow, he received an MBA from the University of Indiana, was an Iowa State College electrical engineer graduate, a U.S. Navy World War II veteran, a member of Christ Lutheran Church, U.S. Submarine Veterans of World War II, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Hot Springs Village Amateur Radio Club.
He was predeceased by one son, Rob Roy Goodenow, and one brother.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Irma O. Goodenow of Hot Springs Village; one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Jerry Lyons of Broken Bow; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Rob Roy Goodenow Endowment Fund, in care of Christ Lutheran Church, 103 Ponferrada Way, Hot Springs Village, Ark. 71909.
