WILLIAM EDWIN "ED" BUCY
1924-2012

MURRAY, KENTUCKY: William Edwin "Ed" Bucy, 87, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at his home. Funeral services were Saturday, March 24, at 11 a.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with John Dale and Kerry Lambert officiating. Burial followed in New Liberty Cemetery in Buchanan.
Mr. Bucy was born April 30, 1924 in Buchanan to the late Hardeman Grubbs Bucy and Myrtle Mae Holt Bucy. He was a retired Church of Christ minister, retired agriculture teacher in Mt. Zion, Illinois, and WW II Army veteran and received the Purple Heart.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Alene Chilcutt Bucy; and three brothers, John Paul Bucy, H.G. Bucy, and Billy Joe Bucy.
Survivors include: two daughters, Susan Gail Plunkett and Joy Lyn (Jeff) Lewis, both of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Gerald Glenn (Robin) Bucy of Franklin, Tennessee; one sister, Bettye Jackson of Taylor, Michigan; one brother, Ralph (Ruth) Bucy of McKenzie; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
