COALPORT - Mrs. Josephine Rososky, 80, of Coalport, died in the Altoona Hospital at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
She was the widow of Frederick Rososky, former Clearfield County commissioner and Clearfield County Republican chairman, who died March 25, 1965.
Mrs. Rososky was born in Utahville Nov. 6, 1892, a daughter of L. Z. and Nellie (Bratton) Nevling. She was married in Cumberland, Md., Dec. 31, 1913.
Mrs. Rososky was a member of the United Methodist Church, a past worthy matron of the Coalport Chapter 427 of the Order of Eastern Star and a Gold Star Mother of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Richard L. Beers Post 7043 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
She is survived by a son, Alton Rososky of Huntingdon; two daughters: Nellie Rososky and Mrs. Haze1 Prince, both of Coalport; three grandchildren, one great grandchild; a brother, Clyde Nevling of Coalport; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded, in death by her parents and a son, Robert, who was killed in action March 17, 1945.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. from the Wendell W. Lloyd Funeral Home in Irvona with the Rev. J. Richard Hackenberry officiating. Interment will be made in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today, and Wednesday after 4 p.m. until time of services Thursday.
