Stephen, Israel, John, Elizabeth), b. Ellisville, N. Y., March 16,
1829 ; m. Mary, d. of Stephen Sypert, of Jackson, Tenn., Aug.
31, 1853. He settled in Jackson, Tenn., where he was a manu-
facturer until i891, when he removed to Texas, returning from
there in 1897. He resides in Jackson, Tenn. During the Civil
War he served two years on detail service in the Confederate
army.”

Mann, of Jackson, Tenn., Jan. 26, 1875.

3. Edward Benjamin, b. Jackson, Tenn.; m. Corinna B., d. of Robert
J. Ruffin, of Jackson, Tenn., Dec. 21, 1887. He lives in
Jackson, Tenn.
4. Ellen Elizabeth, b. Jackson, Tenn., Aug. 27, 1863; m. Charles H.
Hughes, of Jackson, Tenn., Dec. 20, 1882. She died Feb. 3,
1884.
5. Minnie, b. Jackson, Tenn., Feb. 26, 1868; m. W. Thomas Ander-
son, Dec. 22, 1887. She died April 21, 1890.

Jeannette Curtis (born Stiles), born 4 October 1790, Woodbury, Litchfield, Connecticut, to Benjamin Stiles and Esther (Preston) Stiles. She died 8 August 1875 at Southbury, New Haven, Connecticut.”
