Ruth was a daughter of the late James Edward and Roburtus Virginia (Wolfe) Boswell.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond W. Sears on July 28, 1987; one son, Ernest Lee "Ike" Sears; one grandson, Bruce Edward Sears; three sisters, her twin, Martha Landes, Bertha Kesner and Pearlie Wolfe; and two brothers, Leo Boswell and Roy Miller. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Ruth worked for Ewers Orchard and for the Romney Deaf and Blind School.
