Obituary

September 1, 2009 William L. "Moose" Tedd Jr., 63, of 7982 Morgan Rd., Liverpool, passed away Tuesday on his birthday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse. Born in Syracuse, Moose was a longtime resident of Baldwinsville and West Monroe moving to Liverpool in the past year. He was employed on the bridge crew with the NYS DOT in DeWitt the past 20 years. He was previously employed for nine years at New Process Gear and also at Allied Chemical. He had also delivered newspapers for The Post-Standard for over 10 years. Moose was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a muscle car enthusiast, and avid NASCAR fan and an animal lover. Surviving are a son, Casey M. Tedd of Naperville, Illinois; two daughters, Jill M. Tedd of Albany and Cherry Andre of Buffalo; a sister, Gini Mattes of Adams Center; three grandchildren, a niece, three nephews; very special friends and caretakers, Laurie and Ron Gapski of Liverpool; and his beloved dog, Riley. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Ayer & Zimmer Funeral Home, 38 Sullivan St., Cazenovia. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Cazenovia. Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Humane Assoc. of CNY, 4915 .5 W.
