Born Sept. 20, 1947, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late William E. and Frances Huntley Barber.
He was a 1967 graduate of SUNY Cobleskill. He purchased his first farm, ""Wolfe Lane Farm,"" in 1968 and joined his father William E., and uncle, Alton Barber, with the Barber Bros. Dairy Operation. In 1976, he purchased the Barber farm on contract, milking 37 cows. Under his guidance and with the help of his son, Chad, Barber Bros. Dairy LLC has grown to milk 600 cows in 2012.
Clint served on the Saratoga County USDA-FSA Committee as its chairman. He was on the town of Northumberland Zoning Board and Planning Board for several years and was on the Saratoga County Water Quality Committee. He was proud to earn the distinction as Herdsman of the Year in 1984 at the Eastern States Exposition.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Williams Barber of Bacon Hill; his daughter, Cortney Barber (Steve Luongo) of Bacon Hill; his son, Chad (Amber) Barber of Bacon Hill; four granddaughters, Claire, Chloe and Calli Barber and Kendall Luongo; two brothers, John (Kathy) Barber of Cossayuna and Thomas (Chick) Barber of Bacon Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.
Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at Schuylerville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Al Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Bacon Hill Cemetery.
