CORNELL - The funeral for Gary Alsdorf, 49, of 105 N. Seventh St., Cornell, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Duffy Funeral Home, Pontiac, with Pastor Carroll Smith officiating.
Burial will be in South Side Cemetery, Pontiac. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Cornell Fire Department or to an organization of the donor's choice.
Mr. Alsdorf was born Feb. 24, 1951, at Miami, Fla., a son of Kenneth and Aileen Kelly Alsdorf. He married Janice Dodge on March 10, 1973, at Cornell. She survives.
Other survivors include one son, Michael Alsdorf, Cornell; two daughters, Lisa Alsdorf and Carrie (Bob) Klingerman, both of Cornell; and four brothers, Keith Alsdorf of Louisiana; Roger Alsdorf and Kevin Alsdorf, both of Pontiac; and Ron Alsdorf, Bloomington.
His father preceded him in death.
Mr. Alsdorf was a member of Cornell Baptist Church; Cornell Lions Club; and Cornell volunteer firemen.
He was educated at Pontiac grade and high schools.
