Services are pending with Bartley’s Funeral Home in Lone Oak.

LONE OAK – James Lake “Mann” Billinger, 76, died Sunday at 1:35 p.m. at his home here.

Funeral service will be today at 10:30 a.m. at First Christian Church with the Rev. Bob Priest and Mr. Bill Dial officiating. Burial will be at Forest Park Cemetery.

Born May 20, 1905, in Lone Oak, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ranson (sic) Billinger. He married Georgia McMellon in 1925, and she preceded him in death in 1959. He married Olevia Allison Jan. 8, 1961. He was a retired farmer and gin operator and a member of first Christian Church in Lone Oak.

Surviving are his wife of Lone Oak; son, James Billinger of Nederland; sister, Lucille Slack of Houston; grandchildren, James Ray Billinger, Julianne Billinger and Allison Parsons; and several nieces and nephews.

Bartleys Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Elbert Feezer, Homes McMellon, A.H. McMellon, Pete Hambrick, Mutt Hambrick and Eugene Gregory.
